Troubleshooting

Rythm is not showing in my activity list.
If you are not seeing Rythm in your list, it is possible that Rythm is currently blocked in your country. We are working on expanding to new regions as fast as we can.
Rythm is stuck on the loading screen.
  1. Restart the Rythm activity.
    • You can restart your activity by clicking the close activity button and re-launching Rythm.
  2. Restart your Discord client.
    • Press Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac) to restart your Discord client.
Rythm is a blank or white screen.
  1. Restart the Rythm activity.
    • You can restart your activity by clicking the close activity button and re-launching Rythm.
  2. Restart your Discord client.
    • You can restart with Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac).
  3. Enable hardware acceleration in your client settings.
    • Settings > Advanced > Hardware Acceleration
The song is stuck and not playing.
  1. Make sure the song is not paused.
    • A song that is paused will have the pause icon icon.
  2. Restart the Rythm activity.
    • You can restart your activity by clicking the close activity button and re-launching Rythm.
  3. Restart your Discord client.
    • You can restart with Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac).
I can't hear anything from Rythm.
  1. Make sure the volume in Rythm activity is not muted.
  2. Make sure you're not alone in Rythm. Rythm will pause when you are the only one in the session.
  3. [Mobile Specific] Clear your Discord app cache.
    • [iOS] Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Discord > Offload App > Reinstall Discord
    • [Android] Settings > Apps > Discord > Storage > Clear Cache
  4. Make sure Discord has permissions to play audio on your device.
  5. Try restarting the activity and Discord.
    • Press Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac) to restart your Discord client.
    • To restart the activity, exit the activity with the close button and re-open it.
  6. Adblockers like Ublock Origin can cause compatibility issues with Rythm. Try turning them off and restarting the activity.
Rythm is not responding to my commands.
  1. Make sure Rythm is showing as online.
    • If Rythm is offline, we may be experiencing an outage. You can alert our team of this in our Discord server.
  2. Make sure you are using the slash commands of Rythm.
    • Rythm no longer supports the legacy default prefix !. Instead, type / and click on the command you want to run.
    • If you can't see Rythm's slash commands, you need to have the Use Application Commands permission for your role.

      You will also need to disable Appearance > Use the legacy chat input.

Rythm is sending blank messages.
  1. Go to your user settings, which is the gear in the bottom left corner.
  2. Click Chat.
  3. Enable Show embeds and website preview info from links pasted into chat.
