The primary way to use Rythm is to launch the Discord Activity in any voice or text chat. To start Rythm in a voice channel, first click the Activity Launcher, find Rythm, and then click Launch. This will start the activity!

How much is Rythm Premium?

Can I make Rythm play music in my server 24/7?

Only if someone is actively using it. Due to Discord limitations, Rythm will close if everyone leaves the voice channel or closes the activity in the text channel. We are working on bringing back bot playback which may support this.

What does Rythm do with the permissions it asks for?
Every permission that Rythm asks for is necessary for the function of Rythm. All data is handled in accordance with Discord's developer policy & our privacy policy. Here's an example of all of these permissions in action:

  1. Access your username, avatar, and banner
    • This permission is used so we can display your username inside the app. This is default if we cannot access your nickname.
  2. Know what servers you're in
    • This is required for us to get the ID of the channel you start the activity in.
  3. Access your email address
    • Rythm is required to create accounts for each user. Email addresses are used to link accounts to Discord accounts, which also is used for mobile account linking.
  4. Read your member info(nickname, avatar, roles, etc...) for servers you belong to
    • This is used so we can display your nickname and avatar inside the app. You'll find these inside the participants list and other places inside the app.
  5. Read your voice settings and listen for voice events
    • Rythm displays an indicator around your profile when you speak.
  6. Set your current activity
    • Rythm is able to set your rich presence if you enable it in your Rythm settings. This will display what you are listening to and how many people you're listening with on your profile.
